JOHNSON CREEK – EVERETT E. NASS, 87 died on Saturday, December 24, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Everett was born February 25, 1929 in Lebanon, WI, the son of the late Arthur and Elda (Zwieg) Nass. On June 27, 1981, he married Florence (Roehl) Loeder at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Farmington, WI. Everett served as a faithful steward to our Lord every day of his life.
Everett was an active member of the VFW Post 3709 in Watertown, WI. and the American Legion Post 305 in Johnson Creek, WI. serving in many positions with both organizations. He will fondly be remembered by many in the community as the “Bingo Man with the infectious smile”. Everett proudly served his country during the Korean War – awarded the Purple Heart, he was Honorably discharged from his active duty in 1957.
Everett owned and operated his family farm in Ixonia, WI for many years. He also worked outside his farm at Allard Express, Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Karma before retiring. In 1981 Everett and Florence purchased their dream – a country home along the river. For 35 years he was blessed to live the dream with his wife and see their combined family grow. 8 Children, 15 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren.
Katherine (Al) Klewin of New Berlin, WI. and their children, Elizabeth (Christopher) Lerario and Matthew Klewin. Elizabeth’s children, Luca and Giovanni. Matthew’s daughter, Anamika.
Lisa (Jess) Abel of Vista, CA. and Jonathan Nass of New Berlin, WI.
Randy (Eileen) Loeder of Jefferson, WI. and their children, Tabitha (Andrew) Lloyd, Duane (Melissa) Loeder, Amanda Loeder (special friend, Joshua Bouchette). Tabitha’s children, Sheldon and Marcella. Duane’s children, Jaydon and Nevaeh. Amanda’s children, Quinton, Ian and Makenzie.
Ronald (Kathie) Loeder of Fayetteville, NC. and their children, Nicole (Colter) Conklin, Leyna (Ryan) Fiscus, Erynn Loeder, Brandon (Jessica) Loeder and Hunter Loeder. Leyna’s children, London, Kaylee and Lilly. Erynn’s daughter, Abigail.
Sherri (Terry) Tellier of Oxford, WI. and their children, Sara (Kenneth) Miller and Roy Tellier. Sara’s children, Nathan and Julia.
Julie (Jeffrey) Frey of Johnson Creek, WI. and their children, Jeremiah (Fiancée, Jamie Hasslinger) Frey and Jordan (Ashley) Frey. Jordan’s son, Eli.
David Loeder of Johnson Creek, WI. and his daughter, Bailee.
Survivors also include his brothers, John “Jack” Nass and Arthur Nass. His sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (Robert) Zabel, and brother-in-law Richard Baumann. Nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Everett was preceded in death by a Grandson, John Klewin. His brother, Ronald Nass. Step-son, Duwayne Richard Loeder. Sisters-in-law, Maxine Nass, Patricia Nass, Grace Smithback, Ruth Ham, Cora Hoth, Eleanor Stark, Shirley Polinsky and Helen Baumann. Brothers-in-law, Bernie Roehl, Raymond Roehl, Robert Roehl, Roger Roehl, and Charles Roehl.
The family would like to thank Pastor Paul Burk of Immanuel Lutheran Ev. Lutheran Church, the VFW 3709 and Legion 305 brothers/sisters for their kindness and friendship, being there in time of need and the special visits to the house. Everett was truly a blessed man, husband and father.
Though he will be greatly missed, we know that his heavenly journey has begun. What a comfort we have in Jesus!
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Paul Burk of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church of Farmington officiating. Military honors will be conducted following the service. Burial will take place at a later date. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church of Farmington or to the family of Everett Nass.
