Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Anthony Schultz officiating.
Visitation for Lorraine Rose will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013, from 4-6:00 p.m., at Hafemeister Funeral Home, in Watertown, and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow the service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sugar Island. Memorials are suggested to Marquardt Memorial Manor.

Lorraine A. Fredrick was born, February 16, 1918, in the Town of Lebanon, to parents Arthur and Ella (Zillmer) Fredrick. Lorraine was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and married the love of her life Merlin Rose, on October 8, 1938. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1998. Lorraine was a member of St. Luke’s Church in Watertown.
Lorraine and her husband farmed for many years in the Town of Lebanon and were care-takers of St. Paul’s Church and Cemetery in Sugar Island. Lorraine was also employed at Brownberry Ovens in Oconomowoc, cooked many, many meals for the Fathers of St. Henry’s Parish in Watertown, and created many fancy desserts her family and friends.
Lorraine is survived by her four children, Aryllis (Gordon) Petersen of Oconomowoc; Donald Rose of Sanger, Texas; Harold (Shelby) Rose of Bonita Springs, Florida and Bernice (Tom) Sheehan, Brooksville, Florida; nine grandchildren, Jody (Ivan) Thompson of Oconomowoc, Jay Petersen of East St. Louis, Illinois, Jana Petersen of Pleasant Prairie, Jeff Petersen of– Ixonia; Brent (Diana) Rose of New Berlin, Curt Rose, Carrie (Randy) Sigler, Cam (Chris) Fioretti and Carla Bullard all of Texas, twelve great-grandchildren, Kirstin (Brian) Dorn and Kelsey Krueger of Oconomowoc, Tyler Petersen of Pleasant Prairie, Peyton Rose and Carson Rose, New Berlin, Kelly Rose, Ashley Sigler, Ryan Sigler, Emma Fioretti, Noah Fioretti, Hailey Bullard and Mason Bullard of Texas. Lorraine is further survived by sisters-in-law, Lenora Jaeger of Lebanon, and Mildred Fredrick of Watertown, numerous nieces and nephews, and step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
Lorraine was the last surviving member of her immediate family; she was preceded in death by her sister, Laverna (Gilbert) Draeger and five brothers, Melvin (Alice) Fredrick, Clarence Fredrick, Vivan (Gladys) Fredrick, Kenneth (Mildred) Fredrick, and Harold Fredrick.
