Funeral services will be held on Friday January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington with Rev. Richard Pagels officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers it was Ella’s wish that those wishing to express sympathy through a memorial may direct it to the church Ladies Aid. Ella Elsie Moldenhauer was born on August 27, 1915 in Janesville the daughter of Earnest and Emma (Steinke) Blaschke, who were both born in Germany. On January 21, 1934 she married Wilbur Moldenhauer in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1971. Ella had been employed at Moe Brothers, later known at Thomas Industries and enjoyed working at the Pine Knoll Supper Club, especially on days when the Lake Mills Rotary Club had their dinner meeting. She was still volunteering in crafts at the Mueller Apartment Complex along with certain days, delivering the Watertown Daily Times on her floor. Ella was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington and a life time member of its Ladies Aid.
Ella is survived by two sons, Gerald (Jane) Moldenhauer of Lake Mills and Marvin Moldenhauer of Jefferson, a daughter-in-law, Joann Moldenhauer of Watertown, eight grandchildren, Mark (Joan) Moldenhauer of Pewaukee, Bradley Moldenhauer of Lake Mills, Dan Moldenhauer of Eden Prairie, MN, Susan (Moldenhauer) Wrobel of Stoddard and Lee (Susan) Moldenhauer of Jefferson, Jon (Sue) Moldenhauer of Watertown, Todd (Rae Ann) Moldenhauer of Ripon, CA. and Tim (Tracy) Moldenhauer of Vesper, twenty-one great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, Kevin, Heather and Melodie Moldenhauer, Caitlin and Andrew Moldenhauer, Brian (Amy) Wrobel, Katherine and Hannah Wrobel, Bret (Katie) Moldenhauer and Erin, Sara and Dustin Moldenhauer, Ryan and Rachel Moldenhauer, Matthew and Nathan Moldenhauer, Suzette, Zachary and Hollie Moldenhauer, two great-great-grandchildren, Finn and Reese Wrobel, a brother, Alfred Blaschke of Georgetown, TX and fourteen nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ella was further preceded in death by her parents, a son Clifford Moldenhauer of Watertown, a daughter-in-law Carol (Puerner) Moldenhauer of Jefferson, a brother Fred Blaschke, four sisters, Margaret Blaschke, Elsie Salzwedel, Helen (Smith) Mikla and Dorothy (Vasatko) Comstock.
Ella’s family is grateful for the compassionate care received from the staff at the Watertown Regional Medical Center.
