Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon with Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Lebanon. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.

The former Lois F. Blase was born on September 6, 1921 in Lebanon, the daughter of Otto and Minnie (Zahn) Blase. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1940 and then attended Dodge County Normal School in Mayville from 1940 until 1942. In 1955, she received her bachelor’s degree in Education from Concordia University in River Forest, IL. On March 17, 1956 she married Everett Lohman. Lois dedicated forty-four years of her life to Lutheran education serving as a teacher and principal in various schools in Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida. She delighted in teaching young children and sharing the love of God with them. Lois retired from teaching in May of 1996. Following her retirement she continued to sing in the choir and served the Lord in many capacities at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and School in Lake, Worth Florida. Lois always enjoyed traveling back to Wisconsin to visit with relatives and friends.
Lois is survived by her sisters, Ruth Nass of Watertown and Frieda Luetzow of Lake Mills; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett on January 4, 1992 and a brother, Theodore Blase on January 4, 1975.
