Richard John was born in Watertown on April 23, 1946, son of Dennison and Mary (Setz) Justmann. He graduated from Hustisford High School in 1964 and on August 13, 1966, he married Virginia Schuett at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Richwood.
Dick farmed in the Clyman area for many years. He also worked at Dairyland Harvestore in Slinger and was employed as a truck driver for McRae’s Mail Service in Richfield. Dick and his brother owned and operated Justmann Tractor in Hustisford.
Dick was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and was a past member of the Clyman Lions Club. Nothing besides his love for his family, especially his grandchildren, could keep him away from his passion of buying, selling, and restoring his prized John Deere collection. Dick enjoyed playing cribbage and sheepshead.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Virginia of Watertown; his mother, Mary of Watertown; his five children, Thomas Justmann of Waunakee; Andrew (Jody) Justmann of Juneau; Deborah (Michael) Owen of West Bend; Rebecca (Nicholas Welch) Brandenburger of Twin Lakes; Shawn (Christi) Justmann of Watertown; eleven grandchildren, Nolan Justmann, Haley Justmann, Brandon and Kayla Owen, Samantha (Eric Stedman) Coleman, Megan and Austin Brandenburger, Brady Justmann, Codi Langer, Hunter Kuester and Dillion Kuester; a great grandchild, Brooklynn Stedman; a sister, Mary Ann (Tom) Gleisner of Wausau; brothers, Robert Justmann of Hustisford; David (Mary Lynn) Justmann of Juneau; Michael Justmann of Auburn, NY; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his father, Dennison and a great grandson, Declan Stedman, two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Peggy) Justmann and Clara Justmann and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Schuett.
The family would like to thank Marquardt Hospice, especially Jayne Baker for the wonderful care, and a special thank you to Sally Schaefer.
