Lawrence John Queiser was born on February 14, 1935 in Farmington, the son of Anton and Rose (nee Irmischer) Queiser. He began his education in a one room school house in Farmington and afterwards attended Johnson Creek High School, graduating in 1953. While in high school he played football for the Blue Jays. On November 8, 1953, he married Joretta J. Michel in Lake Mills and together they raised a family of seven children. Joretta preceded him in death on December 23, 2016. Larry was originally employed as a farm hand and also worked at Hevi-Duty in Watertown. He then worked for RTE ASEA which later became Waukesha Electric, where he worked as a Production and Inventory Control Manager. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington, where he also performed administrative work such as drafting the church newsletter. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, cross country skiing, and just generally visiting with people. He loved to stay busy; at the time of his death, Larry was living in the same house that he was born in and when the weather was nice he could always be found outside. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by six children, Janice Queiser of Racine; Anthony (Laurie) Queiser of Black Creek, Renee Hafemeister of Watertown, Connie Queiser of DeForest, Scott Queiser of Dallas, WI and David Queiser of Sun Prairie; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his parents, son Jeffrey Queiser; daughter-in-law Terri Queiser; brother, Raymond; sisters, Margaret, Virginia and Lucille as well as an infant brother, Russell.
