Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. James Werner officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, may be given to St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Lakeside Lutheran High School.

The former Lucille Louise Schmidt was born on July 22, 1918 in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Groehler) Schmidt. She was a graduate of the Watertown High School. On June 1, 1941 she married Hubert Lenius at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Lucille had been employed at the lunch counter at Woolworth’s in Watertown. She was the head cook at St. Mark’s Lutheran Grade School. Lucille owned and operated Watertown Kitchen for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and the ladies aid. Lucille was a founding member of Lakeside Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Watertown Legion Auxiliary and inducted in to the Watertown Bowling Hall of Fame. Lucille enjoyed traveling and square dancing.
Lucille is survived by two children, Pamela (Mike Klinger) Staab of Madison and Dale (Carol)Lenius of Watertown; a sister, Margaret (Oscar) Hackbarth of Watertown and two brothers, Brent (Lois) Schmidt of Casa Grande, AZ and Lloyd (Betty) Schmidt of Delavan; four grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Lenius, Victoria (Kevin) Rickerman, Benjamin Staab and Matthew Staab; five great-grandchildren, Brenda (Dan Higgins) Fritze, Cayla Fritze, Katie Lightfoot, Jacob Crane and Chet Rickerman; one great great-grandchild, Ayden Higgins; a brother-in-law Ray Hofer of Columbia Falls, Montana; sisters-in-law Delores Schmidt of Watertown and Helen Spurgin of Illinois, along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert on June 19, 1986; her parents; six brothers, August Schmidt, Elmer Schmidt, Wilmer Schmidt, Martin Schmidt Robert Schmidt and Arthur Schmidt and three sisters, Rose Graf, Elenora Piper and Olitha Kipfmiller.
Lucille's family would like to thank the staff at Clearview for the tender care she received while residing there.
