Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Family and friends may gather at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Lowell Cemetery. Evelyn Olga Stueber was born on July 11, 1919 in the Town of Shields to Otto and Hattie (nee Kelm) Stueber. On September 18, 1949, she was married to Corliss Schmoldt at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1995. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she attended Bible classes and was on the Evangelism Committee. She was a leader of the Indian Garden 4-H group. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, birding watching and tending to her flowers. She loved to sew, read and bake pies. Evelyn loved the outdoors.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Clifford Schmoldt of China; Darlene Shell of Madison; Daniel (Linya Huang) Schmoldt of Silver Spring, Maryland; brother, Harold Stueber of Steven’s Point and sisters-in-law, Lorraine Stueber and Marie Stueber. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Hattie; husband, Corliss; brothers, Harley (Gertrude) Stueber, Edwin (Charlotte) Stueber, Adelbert Stueber and Leo Stueber in infancy.
