Mike was born on June 25, 1947, son of Joseph and Jane (nee Pagel) Brom. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1965. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1966 and honorably discharged in 1968. He served in Vietnam with the First Air Cavalry, receiving a Bronze Star. On September 16, 1972, he married “the girl next door,” Vicki Tester, his wife of forty-three years. Their lives were blessed with three children: Kelly, Amy and Nikolas.
He was employed by Mueller Pipeliners of New Berlin for 38 years and was a LIUNA Member for over 40 years. He was a faithful member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church since 1972.
Michael was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and spending time “up north”. He was always ready, willing and able to “give you a hand” whenever needed. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family, his wife, his daughters, and his one and only precious grandson.
Though he lost even a “whisper voice” at the end, he is now singing (on-key) with the angels and rejoicing in his reunion with God and His Beloved Son, Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; daughters; Kelly Brom of Denver, Colorado and Amy Litscher of Watertown; grandson, Wyatt Michael Brom, also of Denver; sisters, Betty Meyer and Kay (Craig) Fuchs; sister-in-law, Judith (Ed) Kohloff; brother-in-law, Marty (Rosie) Tester; mother-in-law, Sylvia Tester; sister-in-law, Maureen Brom as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his son, Nikolas; his parents, Joseph and Jane; his brother, John and his father-in-law Jim Tester.
