Adin R. Kowalske, 92, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Douglas Carter officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Relatives and friends may gather at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials would be appreciated to St. Johnís Lutheran Church. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Adin Rowland Kowalske was born on August 17, 1922 in the Town of Almon to Otto and Angelica (Jahnke) Kowalske. He graduated from Bowler High School in 1941. Adin served in the Army Air Corps during WWII in the South Pacific. He married Crystal Janice Meinhardt on May 7, 1949 at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Bowler.
Adin was an auto body repair technician retiring from Hustisford Auto. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and had been members of the Whirl A Way Square Dance club. He was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Watertown and was a former member of the St. Johnís Dartball Team. Adin also enjoyed doing puzzles and playing computer Solitaire.
He is survived by his four children: Kay (Bob Piorkowski) Kowalske of Franklin, Kent Kowalske of Watertown, Mark (Judi) Kowalske of Ripon and Candy Kowalske of Watertown; four grandchildren: Joshua Kowalske, Kelly (Sam) Perkins, Jared (Sarah Melaney) Kowalske, Julie Showalter; two great-grandchildren Allie and Jack Perkins; one sister Verna (Glenn) Wentzel of Appleton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Crystal on April 9, 2011, brothers: Bernard, Herbert and Martin, and sisters: Adeline Marten and Cora Baganz.
