The Memorial Service for George E. Notch, age 80, of Watertown, who passed away December 8, 2011, with his wife, Betty, by his side, will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown. Monsignor Daniel Ganshert of St. Henry and St. Bernard’s Catholic Churches, will officiate. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, January 21st from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his family would be appreciated.

George Edward was born in Stevens Point on October 13, 1931, son of John and Agnes (Ryskoski) Notch. On October 13, 1957, he married Betty Erickson in Milwaukee.
George had been employed by Generac Corporation as a Truck Driver, worked at Olympia Resort and drove for the Watertown Taxi Service. He served as Constable for the Village of Sullivan and enjoyed fishing, farming and stock car racing.
George and Betty were the proud parents of sixteen foster children.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Notch of Watertown; a niece, Patricia (John) Richter of Waukesha; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Rob) Olsen of Norwell, MA; Anne Erickson of Necedah and other relatives and friends.
George was the last member of his immediate family being preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Frank Notch and a sister, Elaine Hinze.
