Donald A. Dorn, 90, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Heritage Homes in Watertown with his son and daughter-in-law by his side.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ixonia with Rev. Allen Tetzlaff officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia with military graveside rites conducted by Watertown American Legion Post # 189. Relatives and friends may gather at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ixonia on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials would be appreciated to the church or to the family. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Donald August Dorn was born on October 12, 1927 in Concord to Herman and Viola (nee Winkelman) Dorn. On January 10, 1953 he married Joyce Wegner. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2014.
He served in the United States Army. Don drove semi for 35 years for Brownberry Ovens in Oconomowoc and enjoyed cutting grass and keeping his Ford vehicles clean. He was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ixonia.
Survivors include his two children: Lou (George) Engelke of Vancouver, WA, Dennis (Ann) Dorn of Watertown; grandchildren: Jaime (Adam) Fischer, Jody (Matt) Busshardt, Brian (Kirstin) Dorn, Becky (Tyler) Stockhus, Tarah (Brandon) Patton; great-grandchildren: Branden Fischer, Breckin Fischer, Kaylin Busshardt, Kaydence Busshardt, Mason Busshardt, Charlotte Dorn, Rosalyn Dorn, Brynn Stockhus, Chloe Stockhus, Brady Stockhus, and a great-grandson due in February; brothers: Floyd (Violet) Dorn of Watertown, Elroy (Janet) Dorn of Jefferson, Leon (Shirley) Dorn of Rome; sisters: Margaret Jaeger of Arizona, Ruth Ann (Ralph) Christian of Oconomowoc, other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his parents and a brother Harvey (Mildred) Dorn; sisters: Mabel (Wes) Lees, Dorothy (Earl) Sukow, Donna Mae Dorn.
