Kenneth A. Oestreicher, age 90, of Watertown, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 surrounded by his family.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert presiding. Burial, with Graveside Military Rites, will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Memorials, in Ken’s name, may be given to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Rainbow Hospice or to St. Henry Catholic Church.

Kenneth Anthony was born in Watertown on June 27, 1923, son of Louis Sr. and Mabel Marie (Kohta) Oestreicher. He attended St. Henry Grade School and Watertown High School. Ken served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. During the war he served as a weapons instructor and aviation ordinance man. Ken was thrilled to have been on the Onor Flight to Washington, DC in April 2011. He met Doris Gober while stationed in Pensacola, FL and married her on October 20, 1945 in Mobile, Alabama.
Ken had been employed at Kusel Dairy Equipment as a stainless steel metal fabricator. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. Ken was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting, traveling, playing cards, reading and watching westerns.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of Watertown; his children, Karen Stuckey of New Jersey; Andrew (friend, Cheryl Fuller) Oestreicher of Portage; Robert (Connie) Oestreicher of Lake Mills; David (Gail) Oestreicher of Watertown; Mary Oestreicher of Watertown and John (Susan) Oestreicher of Hortonville; his seven grandchildren, Nicholas (Amanda) Oestreicher , Larissa (fiancé, Mark) Stuckey, Codi, Nathan, Hannah, Sarah and Ella Oestreicher; a great-grandchild, Keona Oestreicher;
sisters-in-law, Arlene and Rosemary Oestreicher, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Louis Jr., Donald and Robert; a son-in-law, Paul Stuckey and a special aunt, Barbara Kohta.
