Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown, with the Rev. Michael Jensen officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the church or Marquardt Memorial Manor.

Gertrude Minnie Rose was born in Watertown on November 14, 1918, to Herman and Alma (Zimdars) Rose.
On September 15, 1940, she married Lenhard Zubke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon.
Gertrude had been employed at the F.W. Woolworth Co., Coast to Coast Hardware Store and Del’s Liquor Store, all formerly of Watertown.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown, its Ladies Aid and the Lakeside Lutheran Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Watertown Senior Center, where she enjoyed spending time. Gertrude loved to travel and enjoyed playing Sheepshead and Bingo.
She is survived by a daughter, Marianne (Robert) Hafenstein of Lake Mills; a son, David (Valerie) Zubke of Pensacola, Florida; four grandchildren, Mark (Peggy) Hafenstein of Watertown; Jason (Sarah) Hafenstein of Lake Mills; John (Linda) Zubke of Pensacola, FL; Andrea (John) Sackett of Lakeville, MN; eight great grandchildren, Kady, Emma, Bethany, Rebecca, Kimberly, Elizabeth, Michael and James; three brothers, Melvin (Nancy) Rose of Clinton, IA; Lester (Helen) Rose of Watertown; Kenneth (special friend, Brenda Hopkins) Rose of Hartsville, SC; a brother-in-law, Roger Schaefer of Watertown, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lenhard on February 1, 2004; a grandson, Kevin Hafenstein in 2005; five sisters, Norma Dobrick, Pearl Froehlich, Lorraine Rose, Helen Schaefer, Irene Hinzmann and a brother, Lloyd “Mike” Rose.
