Dorothy R. Kadinger, age 88, of Watertown, passed away on Friday evening January 25, 2013 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Vicar David Hagen of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Horicon officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The former Dorothy Ruth Schleif was born on May 14, 1924 in Watertown, the daughter of William and Emma (Jaeger) Schleif. She attended elementary school in Watertown and was a 1942 graduate of the Watertown High School. Dorothy had been married to Kenneth Kadinger. She was a member of the Juneau Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Juneau American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary. Dorothy was the first crossing guard hired by the City of Juneau. She was an avid Milwaukee Brewer fan. Dorothy was a devoted mother and family was most important to her. She loved to laugh and have a good time.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Craig (Marcia) Kadinger of Columbus; a brother Roger (Betty) Schleif of Watertown; two nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Deborah Glass and two sons-in-law, Kurt Prun and Bert Glass.
