Franklin H. Minning, 81, of Watertown passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his home. He was a painter by trade and a life-long resident of Watertown.
Frank was born on March 1, 1934, Watertown, son of Herbert and Ann (Kubly) Minning. He was a 1952 graduate of Watertown High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving four years with the United States Air Force. He was stationed overseas at R.A.F. bases Lakenheath and Mildenhall, for three years. He was a Munitions Specialist A/1C. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League, the Amateur Trap shooters of America and the 1963 five man team State trapshooting champions. He loved hunting, fishing and trapshooting.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Heather) Minning of Watertown; step-son Andrew (Sheri) Kasten of West Bend; brother Elwyn (Bev) Minning of Little Green Lake; sister Dorothy (Joe) Cuccia of Watertown, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-daughter Linda Ross of Menominee Falls, mother Ann Minning, father Herbert Minning and sister Marilyn Zastrow of Lebanon.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Brett Brauer officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial, with military honors, will take place at Pilgrimís Rest Cemetery in Lebanon.
