The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 4th at noon at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, with the Rev. Richard Pagels of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 5 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.

Vernon Louis was born in Watertown on March 25, 1944 to Emil and Eshter (Kuehl) Schliewe.
He married Barbara Wolff on October 3, 1965 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington.
Vernon was a dairy farmer and retired from Watertown Metals after 20 years of employment. He enjoyed listening to polka music on WTKM radio station. He also enjoyed horses and living on the family homestead.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Watertown; three daughters, Brenda (Dan) Gross of Hustisford; Bonnie (David) Wegner of Sugar Island; Bridget Mincheski of Beaver dam; four grandchildren, Brian Kaul, Michelle Schliewe, Peggy Schliewe, Ean Mincheski; two brothers, Franklin Schliewe of Juneau; Harold (Lila) Schliewe of Hustisford and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lorna Heller and a brother, Norman Schliewe.
