Raymond E. Rodenkirch, 65, of Watertown, passed away peacefully Friday, December 19, 2014 at UW Hospital in Madison.
Raymond Ernest was born in Prairie du chien on February 9, 1949, son of Raymond and Marie (White) Rodenkirch. He was a graduate of Beaver Dam High Shool and served in the US Navy in Vietnam from 1967 to 1971. Ray had been employed at Menasha Corp. and Rollex in Ixonia and U S Chemical-Johnson Diversey in Watertown.
He enjoyed spending time with children, especially Samuel Schwark and Lily and Holly Larson, also traveling and repairing things. Ray was also an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his partner in life, Cindy Anding of Watertown; a brother, Ken Rodenkirch of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Rose Anna (Don) Kalina of Angola, Indiana; Mary (Arthur) Valley of Janesville, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gladys Layde and a brother, Virgil Rodenkirch.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the VFW Post #3709, 8775 High Road in Watertown.
