Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16th at 5 p.m. at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown, with the Rev. Michael Jensen officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, in Watertown, at a later date. Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the church or to the charity of one’s choice.
Dorothy Marie Weiler was born in Oconomowoc on September 18, 1927, daughter of Sylvester and Lorena (Bartlet) Weiler. On November 2, 1946, she married Charles R. Teich at Dr. Martin Luther Church in Oconomowoc. Charles preceded her in death on June 16, 2006.
Dorothy was a graduate of Oconomowoc High School. She had been employed at the Ira L. Henry Box Factory in Watertown and retired from Schweiger Industries in Jefferson in 1989.
Dorothy was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. She was head cook at the Plattdeutscher Verein in Watertown and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include her son, Charles (Tina) Teich and daughter, Mary (Todd) Saeger, all of Watertown; five grandchildren, Robert (Julie) Teich, Aleta Teich, Nicky Saeger, Nathan (Amanda) Saeger, Lukas Saeger; five great grandchildren, Christopher Teich, Kayla (Dean) Bingham, Alyvia Krueger, Brielle Saeger and Tucker Saeger; a sister, Delores (Howard) Webb of Sullivan; a sister-in-law, Esther Weiler of Milwaukee; a brother-in-law, Charles Dowd of Watertown; a close friend, Bonnie Wendt of Johnson Creek, as well as other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents; two great grandchildren; two sister-in-law, Shirley Dowd and Viola Weiler and two brothers-in-law, Larry Weiler and George Weiler.
