A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Richard Pagels of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Farmington officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials if desired may be directed to the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington or to the charity of one’s choice. Henry Burtus Miller was born of June 15, 1930 in Fond du Lac the son of Henry and Freda (Wagenknecht) Miller. Burt was a graduate of the Fond du Lac High School and in 1956 graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Law. He served his country as an officer with the US Army during the Korean War. Burt opened Miller Law Office in Jefferson in 1973. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington and the Mendota Grid-Iron Club. Burt was a true Badger Alumni. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and football. Burt loved spending time at his resort up north.
Burt is survived by his wife of over sixty years the former Nola Moore of Fort Atkinson, four children, Kevin Miller of Wisconsin Rapids, Kathleen (Jeff) Toomer of Miami, FL, Patricia Miller of Wales and Megan Miller of Denver, CO, ten grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel, Sean, Kevin, Megan, Andre, Joshua, Camryn, Andre and Evan, other relatives and friends. Burt was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
