Geraldine “Gerri” H. Campbell, age 79, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Watertown.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon with Rev. Douglas Bergelin officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lebanon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Geraldine Helena Zuleger was born on November 12, 1936 in Hartford, the daughter of Karl and Regina (nee Schultz) Zuleger. She attended Farmington Grade School and was a 1954 graduate of Oconomowoc High School.Gerri married Fred Grulke. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1998. She was then married to Jimmy Campbell. Gerri worked as a secretary at Dr. Pruscha’s office in Watertown for many years and as a Nursing Assistant at St. Mary’s Hospital in Watertown and Marquardt Memorial Manor. She also had been employed at Lindberg Hevi Duty and Allard Express, both of Watertown. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon. Gerri enjoyed knitting, fishing and mowing the lawn. She loved collecting bells.
Gerri is survived by her husband, Jimmy Campbell; daughter, Suzanne (Royce) Pieper, of Watertown; son, Steven (Kim) Grulke of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren, Jessica Yellstrom, Sarah Ellis, Jeremy (Jenny) Pieper, Jenni (Matt) Carpenter, Justin (Elizabeth) Grulke, Tanner (girlfriend Megan) Grulke; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Stephan, Brandon, Sean, Madyson, Selena, Summer, Sunshine, Sophia, Sawyor, Gavin, Lincoln and Everleigh as well as step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Lucille (Shorty) Cooley of Indiana as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Regina Zuleger and former husband, Fred Grulke.
