A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Douglas Carter officiating. Burial will take place at Hustisford Cemetery on Cty Rd R in Hustisford. Family and friends may gather at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, St. John’s Choir or to the charity of one’s choice. Josephine Emily Drachenberg was born on September 9, 1929 at her home in the Town of Lebanon, the daughter of Gustav and Amanda (nee Schlak) Drachenberg. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon where she was confirmed. She attended St. Peter’s Lutheran Grade School in Lebanon and was a 1948 graduate of Hustisford High School. Jo had been employed at Brandt Manufacturing for 32 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown for over 50 years. Jo volunteered at the Watertown Regional Medical Center and Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown for 21 years.
Jo is survived by her sisters, Lucia Radloff of Hustisford and Hildegarde (Ronald) Kuehl of Watertown; sisters-in-law, Florence Drachenberg of Watertown and Betty Drachenberg of Bremerton, WA as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Carl (Edna) Drachenberg, Max Drachenberg and Palmer Drachenberg as well as nephews, Wayne Drachenberg and Peter Kuehl.
