Larry P. Ninmann, 72, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2014 at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital Hospice Center in Madison, with family by his side.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1st, at noon at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, with the Rev. Anthony Schultz and the Rev. Mark Gartner officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Clyman.
The visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the family.
Larry was born in Clyman on July 5, 1941, son of Paul Sr. and Mabel (Kaul) Ninmann. He served in the US Army from December 5, 1961 to November 30, 1967.
Larry had been employed at Trek Bicycle for 18 years, Carnation Genetics for 15 years, Farm & Fleet for 5 years and retired in 2004. He enjoyed socializing with friends, spending time with grandchildren and traveling with his loving friend Sharon. He could often be seen riding up and down Main Street in Watertown on his electric scooter – the American flag proudly flying from the back of his scooter.
He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman and attended St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Survivors include his children, John (Tara) Ninmann of Fall River; Trudy (Brian Yanke) Ninmann of Oconomowoc; his grandchildren, Michael Ninmann of Johnson Creek, Sadie Marsden of Edgerton, Mark Kienast of Oconomowoc; his loving friend, Sharon Kratzer of Watertown; five sisters, Lucille Moke, Hazel (Wayne) Krepfer, Janette (Ernie) Kubly, Ethel Leitzke, Arlene Schuett; two brothers, Arthur (Audrey) Ninmann and Theodore Ninmann; nieces; nephews; his former wife, Frieda Ninmann of Johnson Creek; other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Myrtle Jaeckel, Evelyn Nehls, Betty Wolf; brothers, Paul, Richard, Willard, Hilbert and Ronald Ninmann.
