Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon with Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Lebanon. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the charity of one’s choice. The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is serving the family. Myra Alma Maas was born on January 23, 1920 in the Town of Lebanon the daughter of Emil and Verena (Schramm) Maas. She attended German and English school in Lebanon. On June 10, 1939 she married Norman Frederich at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lebanon. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Lebanon for many years. After which she enjoyed the mornings with her nephew Dan helping with chores. She then retired to enjoy her flowers, gardening, yard work, and spending time with her extended family. Myra enjoyed watching her great nieces and nephews at sporting events and went to the state and county fairs where they showed their 4-H projects. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon.
Myra is survived by three brothers; Donald (Lilues) Maas, Willard (Lorna) Maas and Dale (Caroline) Maas all of Watertown, a sister, Luanna (Arnold) Neitzel of Watertown and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Maas of Watertown, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Myra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman on June 9, 1993, two brothers, Gilbert Maas and Franklin in infancy.
