Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Vic Tegtmeier officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran School, or to Rainbow Hospice. Esther Amanda Krueger was born on June 30, 1914 at her home in Watertown, the daughter of Gustav R. and Anna (nee Bornfleth) Krueger. On June 9, 1940, she married Martin W. Uttech at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Martin preceded her in death on April 29, 1998. Esther and her husband were charter members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and former members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. She was very active in her church and her community. Esther enjoyed cooking for her family and hosting parties. She was a holistic health advocate before it was common. Martin and Esther were lifelong residents of Watertown.
Esther is survived by her three children, Jane M. (Jack) Haugsland; Peter M. (Louise) Uttech; Linda A. Uttech; grandchildren, Bradley J. Haugsland; Timothy P. (Niki) Uttech; Daniel F. (Faye) Uttech; Emma (Ron Belshaw) Loehnertz; Thomas R. Loehnertz; Suzanne (Charles) Tonelli; great-grandchildren, Jack D. Uttech and Urban C. Uttech; sisters-in-law, Elda Uttech and Ruth V. Uttech as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Esther was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Anna; husband, Martin as well as seven siblings.
