Evelyn E. Zechzer, 93, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paulís Liberty Lutheran Cemetery in Deerfield. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to St. Johnís Ladies Aid or the charity of oneís choice. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Evelyn Emma Engelbrecht was born on December 14, 1924 in the Town of Milford, the daughter of John and Erna (nee Tietz) Engelbrecht. On November 10, 1945 she was united in marriage to Russell Zechzer at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Watertown. Russell preceded her in death on March 14, 2003. Evelyn and her husband farmed in the town of Milford all of their married life. She was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Watertown where she served on the Ladies Aid. She had been employed as a cook at Bethesda Lutheran Homes in Watertown for numerous years. She enjoyed word search books. Evelyn loved her feline buddies, Mokey and PeeWee.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Cheryl Hemiller, Richard Zechzer and Randy (Heidi) Zechzer; grandchildren, Robin (Tina) Hemiller, Christie Hemiller, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Hemiller, Benjamin (Amanda) Zechzer, Gretchen Zechzer, Rebecca (Doug) Hewison, Lindsay Zechzer, Ashley Zechzer, Camryn Zechzer, Kiah Zechzer and Jadyn Zechzer; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Matthew, Kaylee, Jami, Hailey, Rayah and Jaxson; step-great-grandchildren, Brittani (Norman) and Callie; step-great-great-grandchildren, Natahlya and Norman Jr. as well as other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her parents as well as three dear cousins, Loretta, Irene and Flora.
