Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Watertown with Rev. John Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral in Watertown on Tuesday from 4- 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Rainbow Hospice, Heritage Homes or the American Lung Association. The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is in charge of arrangements. Lorraine Mae Reinhard was born on June 26, 1926 in Watertown, the daughter of Alfred “Pap” and Elida Christine (Olsen) Reinhard. While attending Watertown High school she was a cheerleader and enjoyed many other clubs and activities. After graduating in 1944, she continued to support the high school band and organized the Gosling Booster Club. Lorraine also attended two years of Business College. On August 10, 1946 she married Russel G. Bentheimer at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2004.
Lorraine had been employed as an accountant and bookkeeper for a number of businesses in Watertown and the surrounding area. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Watertown and had served on various boards and committees. Lorraine had been a Girl Scout leader and co-directed summer day camp. She was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger football fan. Lorraine enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, and she was member of numerous card clubs and charitable organizations.
Lorraine is survived by four children; Pam (Tom) Lippert of Seattle, WA; Pennie Getman of New York; Bonnie (Victor) Phelps of Norfolk, VA and Mark (Peggy) Bentheimer of Lake Mills; eleven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Lorraine was the last member of her immediate family, being further preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Mary Claire in infancy and Sandra Lewis; a grandson, two brothers and three sisters.
