A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Monsignor Ganshert presiding. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown and at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Maas. Memorials are suggested to the Sandwiches in the Park Program or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Stella Grace Krause was born in Watertown on April 15, 1935, daughter of Andrew and Esther (Niederwerfer) Krause. She attended Watertown High School. On December 4, 1954, she married Aloysius “Allie” Haas at St. Henry Catholic Church. Allie preceded her in death on July 12, 2013.
Stella had been employed at Watertown Metals and in 1978, she started her own daycare.
Stella was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She loved family gatherings and enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, fishing and long car rides.
She is survived by her children, Steve Haas of Watertown; Lonnie (Laurel) Haas of Watertown; Dick (Julie) Haas of Clyman; Laurie (Dan) Schilling of Watertown; Allison (Mark) Knoll of Watertown and Lisa (Doug) Martin of Pipersville; her grandchildren, Jared Haas, Audra Haas, Caitlin Haas, Jason Haas, Nick Haas, Travis Haas, Cameron Haas, Tiffany Haas, Andrew Haas, Anthony (Virginia) Haas, Charlie Schilling, Tim Schilling, Steve Schilling, Heather (Tim) Bradley, Matt McDonald, Josh (Veronica) Knoll, Danielle Knoll, John Martin, Owen Martin, Elizabeth Martin, Jodell Ovist, and Jenny Blum; her great-grandchildren, Natalie Haas, Evelynn Bradley, Chloe Schilling and Brianna Haas; her sisters, Bev Koepsell, Ruth (Danny) Keeser, Marcie (Joe) Eberl, Lu Rennhack; her brothers, Butch Krause, Hunsie (Diane) Krause, Charlie (Mary) Krause, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Stella was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Penny McDonald and Sherry Carpentar; granddaughters, Cassi Haas and Lianne Knoll; her brothers, Bill and Reuben Krause and brothers-in-law, Duke Rennhack and Bob Koepsell.
