Oswald “Ozzie” Wuethrich
Oswald “Ozzie” Wuethrich of Gettysburg, PA and formerly of Watertown died Monday afternoon, March 19, 2015 at his home.
Ozzie was born January 16, 1925 in Hustisford, the son of Rudolph and Cecile (Wyss) Wuethrich. He was the husband of Doris (Zubke) Wuethrich marrying her on September 20, 1947 at Immanuel Church in Watertown.
Ozzie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Fairfield, PA and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Watertown, where he was a member of church council, the usher society, and other work programs at the church. He retired from Wisconsin Wet Goods and served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Watertown American Legion Post #189 and a life member of the Watertown VFW Post #3709.
In addition to his wife, Ozzie is survived by his son, Neal Wuethrich and his wife Helen, of Gettysburg, PA, three grandchildren, Dennis, of Colorado, David and his wife Amanda, of Fairfield, PA, Monica and her husband Jim, of Spring Grove, PA, and five great grandchildren, Darik, Gavin, Peyton, Lydia and Ryland. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Wuethrich and his sister, Ursula Yuch.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. The Monahan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements in Gettysburg and the Hafemeister Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements in Watertown.
