Dean Wesley Ross was born, with his twin brother Dale, on April 28, 1942 in Madison, Wis. to Irvin and Anna Eaton Ross. Dean graduated from Deerfield High School in 1961.
He retired from Lindberg Hevi-Duty in Watertown where he was a proud union steward. His favorite job was a part-time one with Bert’s Tire Service in Johnson Creek where he worked for many years.
Dean loved his life and lived it on his terms. He was a quiet, unassuming man, unless his favorite sports teams were playing. Dean was an avid Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed many sporting events with his friends and family, but the highlight of his life was going to the Super Bowl XXXI in New Orleans with his son, Craig.
He is survived by his three children: Craig (Summer) Ross of Watertown, Cindy Tanev of Lake Mills, Susan (Todd) Greeneway of Appleton; six grandchildren: Constance Nimmo (special friend Jake), Parker Ross, Thomas and Victor Tanev and Abbey and Allison Greeneway; a sister Darlene (Vic) Chamberlain of Ariz., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 6 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. David M. Phillips of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon officiating.
