Jeanette D. Bobrofsky, age 92, of Watertown, was called to her eternal rest on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Heritage Homes in Watertown.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia with Rev. Kenneth Ewerdt officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Ixonia. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Jeanette Dorothy Kuester was born on September 28, 1923 at her home in Ixonia, the daughter of George and Josephine (nee Zastrow) Kuester. Jeanette became a child of God through the waters of baptism on October 2, 1923 and was confirmed in that saving faith April 4, 1937 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia. On May 12, 1946, she married Harold Bobrofsky at St. Paul’s. Jeanette and her husband farmed in Ixonia for many years. After her children were grown, she was employed at Quick Cleaners in Oconomowoc for nineteen years. Jeanette was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s. She enjoyed embroidery, cleaning and ironing. Harold and Jeanette would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on May 12, 2016.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Tom (Judy) Bobrofsky of Loyal, WI; Barbara Mantey of Port Orchard, WA; grandchildren, Jay (Amy) Bobrofsky; Melissa (Rev. Tony) Pittenger; Kay (David) Heiting; Kari (James) Hahm; Stacey (Scott) Hill; Jessica (Cleveland) Upton; Kristin Mantey; Aaron Mantey; eighteen great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her
parents, George and Josephine; daughter, Wendy Louise; son, Brian Arland in infancy; twin sister, Jean Lindert as well as son-in-law, Curtis Mantey.
