A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Tillmann of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Ashippun officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial with military graveside rites will be conducted at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Ashippun at a later date. Frederick Giles Wiese was born on December 26, 1942 in Milwaukee, the son of Frederick and Rose (nee Kozlowski) Wiese. He was a 1961 graduate of Juneau High School. Fred served in the United States Army in France from 1962 until 1965. On September 1, 1979, he married Joyce Hermann at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashippun. He worked for Wisconsin Telephone in Watertown for many years until his retirement. After retirement, Fred worked for Bumper to Bumper in Watertown. He was a lifetime member of Watertown VFW #3709. Fred enjoyed golfing and bowling. He liked watching the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and NASCAR.
Fred is survived by his wife, Joyce of Ashippun; daughter, Dalene (Rick) Firari of Juneau; son, Brian Wiese of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Matthew Wiese and Michael Wruck of Whitewater; Kevin Firari of Juneau; sister, Sharon (Dick) Henriott of Watertown; brothers-in-law, Dennis Fosdal of Watertown; Donald Kirkpatrick of Milwaukee as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Rose; brothers, George and Louis Gorski; sisters, Rosemary Kirkpatrick; Ann (Lee) Welch; Carol Klink; Mary (Donald) Kasten; Judith Fosdal as well as a niece, Heather Kasten.
