Bradford High School, Kenosha, WI and the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater BA English, Minor French & Music. He had been employed as an English teacher at Waukesha Central High School, Waukesha, and as a Sales Representative at Procter & Gamble until his retirement. Bob was a loving husband and father. He will be remembered for his unusual sense of humor, creativity, and resourcefulness. Bob always provided for his family and his country. His patriotism began early in life. At the age of five, his dog, Silver, was enlisted into service during WWII. Silver was awarded a Presidential Citation for saving a platoon of soldiers. Bob’s service to his country continued into adulthood, where he served eight years in the Naval Reserve. As a young man, Bob achieved Eagle Scout rank. These skills were used throughout his life, proving, “Once an Eagle Scout, Always an Eagle Scout.” Except for the car, there was virtually nothing he couldn’t fix. Bob was happiest when he was camping and barbecuing with his family, and was passionate about his Hosta garden. Enjoying retirement, he and his wife, Sue, split their time between Bonita Springs, FL and Middleton, WI.
Robert is survived by his wife Sue, two daughters; Marie (Corey) Webster of Milwaukee and Beth Schadd of Moscow, ID., a sister Helen Cunningham of Fort Lauderdale, FL., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
