Funeral services will be held on Friday April 11, 2014 at 11 am at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. James Werner officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service. Memorials if desired may be directed to St. Mark’s Lutheran School in Watertown. Ada Edna Kothlow was born on October 18, 1912 in Watertown the daughter of William and Amanda (Kosbab) Kothlow. She attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Grade School. On August 12, 1928 she married Harold J. Ebert in Illinois. Ada was employed at the Mid-State Shoe Factory in Watertown for many years. She was a life-long member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Ada had been a member of the Plattdeutscher Verein Auxiliary in Watertown for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and crocheting. Ada loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Ada is survived by two children; Delores Schmidt of Watertown and Sharon (John) Schuppert of Watertown, a daughter-in-law; Joan Ebert of Las Cruses, New Mexico, eight grandchildren; James (Mary Lynn) Ebert, Kelly (Larry) Miller, Kathryn Ebert, Amy (Brian) Treptow, Joy (Brian) Zirbel, Michael (Lynn) Schuppert, Kristin Schuppert and Lori (Alex) Dominguez, twelve great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold on December 28, 1971, a son, Lavern Ebert, a son-in-law, Arthur Schmidt, five sisters; Esther Teich, Viola Storbeck, Frieda Melius, Adela Lenius and Elsie Sellnow and a brother; Arnold Kothlow.
