Eleanor E. Hahn, 87, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at her home, with family members at her bedside.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Dale Vlastnik of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek officiating. Innichement will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia at a later date. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to the church or to Rainbow Hospice. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Eleanor Emma Hauser was born on November 26, 1930 in the Township of Delafield, the daughter of Ernst and Charlotte (nee Knamm) Hauser. She was a 1948 graduate of Waukesha High School. On November 23, 1950 she was united in marriage to John Hahn at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hartland. John preceded her in death on February 1, 2006. Eleanor was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek. She taught herself how to do many thing and enjoyed crafting, rug making, knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She was a fabulous cook and would preserve any foods found on the farm. She was a marvelous grandmother and friend to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: John “Jack” Hahn Jr. of Johnson Creek, Pamela (Robert) Hill of Johnson Creek, Charlene (Keith) Berg of Watertown; grandchildren: Angela (Rob) Vierkant, Julie (Daniel Luneau) Hill, Marjorie (Eric) Kraus, Emaleigh Berg and Keith Berg; great-grandchildren, Christopher Vierkant, Elizabeth Vierkant and Adam Smith; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her parents; a sister Clara Hauser; granddaughter, Rachel Hill-Smith. She was the last member of her immediate family.
The family would like to thank Rainbow Hospice and TLC especially “My” Jean Marie and “My” Sara for assistance in making it possible for Mom to stay in her home.
