James A. H. Schramm, 82, of Watertown, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Brett Brauer officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. James Albert Herman Schramm was born on December 8, 1935 in rural Watertown, the son of Ernie and Esther (Schlesner) Schramm. He was a graduate of Watertown High School. Jim served in the United States Marines during the Korean War as an aerial photographer on the USS Hancock. On March 23, 1984 he married Joyce Buchert at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown. Jim was in sales most of his life enjoying talking with people and being on the road. His most memorable occupation was as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Watertown. Jim loved playing sports in his younger years and liked to watch the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He was also an avid viewer of the Game Show Network.
Jim is survived by his wife Joyce Schramm of Watertown; children: Karmen (Mark) Finney of FL, Kent Schramm of NJ, Kirk (fiancÚ Michelle Turshon) Schramm of FL, Kara Garlanger of FL; grandchildren: Kristin Schramm, Morgan Schramm, Ayden Garlanger, Jordyn Garlanger; two step-daughters: Jacinda (Teri Weiland) Tessmann of Madison, Dana (Ron) Meixner of Watertown; step-grandchildren: Ashley Donaubauer, Austin (Kristina Gruenwald) Donaubauer; siblings: Myrna Richter of AZ, Dennis (Genie) Schramm of Watertown; sister-in-law Sylvia Schramm of Waupun, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Esther Schramm; step-mother Evangeline Schramm; siblings: Robert Schramm and Judy Polensky and brothers-in-law, Bob Polensky and Joe Richter.
