Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek, the American Cancer Society or P. A. V. E. (People Against a Violent Environment).

Karen Kay Adams was born on July 27, 1949 in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Genevieve (Johnson) Adams. On June 28, 1980 she married A. Robert McCarthy at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Watertown. Robert preceded her in death on February 17, 1990. On January 11, 2001 she married Donald F. Simonds in Watertown. Karen had been employed as a secretary at Sears, A. Kramp Co. and U.S. Chemical, all in Watertown. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, bird watching, and she loved spending time with family and friends. Karen will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Karen is survived by her husband, Donald Simonds of Watertown; a sister Julie Adams of Grafton; a brother Randy (Anne Marie) Adams of Watertown; a nephew, Matthew (Lisa) Helbing; two nieces, Meghan Dolan and Joslin Dolan, and other relatives and friends.
Also preceding Karen in death were her parents.
