Lawrence “Red” N. Reichert, age 85, of Watertown, passed away at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek on Monday, April 15, 2013.
The funeral service was held today, April 19th, at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Todd Iverson officiating. Burial, with Graveside Military Rites being conducted by the Watertown American Legion Post #189, was at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
The visitation was at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and today at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Lawrence Norman Reichert was born in Watertown on August 26, 1927, son of Paul Arthur and Elizabeth Elsie (Koepke) Reichert. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. On January 21, 1950, he married the former Irene Wilke at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. Irene preceded him in death on November 1, 2011.
He had been employed as a truck driver for the Carnation Company in Oconomowoc for 30 years.
Red was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Watertown American Legion Post #189 and the VFW Post #3709. Red liked hunting, fishing and spending time up north. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying.
Survivors include his children, Dixie Reichert; Robbin (Beverly) Reichert and Ellen Wollin, all of Watertown; two grandchildren, Brian (Cindy) Reichert of Pewaukee and Jamie (Ben) Walters of Watertown; four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Margaret Melcher of Watertown and his brother, Ray (Lorine) Reichert of Charlotte, NC, and nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eugene (Cora) Reichert; four sisters, Luella (Walter) Draeger, Alice (Art) Staahl, Anita (Larry) Voss, Leona (Louis) Rickerman and a brother-in-law, Edgar Melcher.
