Sandy was born to Floyd and Anita (Tietz) Strauss on March 6, 1949. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church being baptized and confirmed there. She went to St. Mark’s Lutheran School and graduated in 1967 from Watertown High School.
Sandy worked at Tri-Mart Corp., Waukesha Foods, Grinwald Ford, Terra Staffing and Furnish 123. She loved her sales positions. She was an active fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers. Sandy liked cooking, baking , and made many many pies.
Sandy is survived by her loving daughter Stacy M. Husslein and her husband Nick Husslein of Commerce Township, MI; grandchildren: Tristan and Savannah Husslein. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings: Carol (Jim) Wolfer of Appleton, Duane "Pushy" (Debbie) Strauss, Barb (Dick) Giese, Deb (Tim) Archambeau all of Watertown and Nancy Strauss of Fort Atkinson; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Charles Iles officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A private family burial will be held at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery in Watertown at a later date. Memorials to the St. Mark’s Organ Fund would be appreciated. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family.
