In March of 2016 Marion celebrated her 100th birthday with a gathering at Shorehaven with all of her children and grandchildren present. It was a wonderful time to celebrate a long and happy life.
Marion graduated from high school in Juneau and worked as a manager of a hair salon and as an office assistant.
She married Frank Radloff on June 4, 1938 and together they had a successful dairy farm in Clyman. After they sold the farm in 1966 they moved to Watertown. Frank died in 1980.
Marion was a long time resident of Anna Nitschmann at Marquardt Manor. She made many friends there and enjoyed many activities and trips with the residents. Marion spent her final four years at Shorehaven where she received wonderful and loving care.
Survivors include her three children, Mary (Larry) Birtzer, David (Paula) Radloff, and Ruth (Bob) Darula, five grandchildren, Mark (Becky) Birtzer, Kathy (Jim) Sullivan, Carol (Mike) Strecker, Erica (Ted) Schmitz, and Elizabeth, (Shane) Madigan, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and celebration of Marion’s life will be held on April 22 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Watertown. There will be a visitation at 10 with a service at 11 with interment to follow. A luncheon will follow the interment.
The family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at Shorehaven and Vitas Hospice for the devoted care and love that was shown to Marion while she was a resident there. It means so much to us to know she was in such caring hands.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Marion to Shorehaven Health and Rehabilitation Center, 1305 W. Wisconsin Av., PO Box 208, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
