Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon with Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Lebanon. Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Saturday from 3:00-7:00 pm and at the church on Sunday from noon until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lebanon or one's choice.

Marvin Wallner Pfeifer was born on November 24, 1932 in Watertown the son of Louis and Nora (Scheel) Pfeifer. On April 28, 1956 he married Marcella Ruehlow at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon. Marvin had been employed at Lindberg Hevi-Duty in Watertown for thirty-two years. Following his retirement he was the custodian for Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, and also spent many hours helping with additional projects on the church and school grounds. His church was very important to him. Marvin enjoyed being outdoors spending time working in the yard keeping their property immaculate. For many years he enjoyed golfing and taking little trips with family and friends. He was always supportive of the children and grandchildren and attended as many functions for them as he could. The family always had the utmost respect for him and will miss him dearly.
Marvin is survived by his wife Marcella of Watertown, two children; Bruce (Debbie) Pfeifer and Bonnie (Jeff) Peot all of Watertown, five grandchildren; Eric Gottschalk, Sarah (Brett) Wegner, Katie (Alex) Moores, Brian (Ashley) Pfeifer and Nathan Pfeifer, two great grandchildren; Tyler and Caleb Wegner, two brothers; Merlin (Rosie) Pfeifer of Lake Mills and Kenneth Pfeifer of Johnson Creek; Sister-In-Laws; Elaine Langholff and Marion Maas of Watertown; Irene (Norbert) Willing of Ixonia, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who they played Sheepshead with.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-laws; Ardell Pfeifer, Viola Key, Lou-Ann Ruehlow; brother-in-laws; Ortwin Ruehlow, Lester Langholff, Donald Key, Curtiss Maas; and nephew Douglas Key.
