Lucille M. Trachte, age 100, of Watertown passed away with family by her side at River View Assisted Living on May 2, 2017.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Father Patrick Wendler officiating. Friends and family may call at the church starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A private family burial service will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in Watertown. Memorials may be directed to St. Bernard Catholic Church or to Rainbow Hospice, for their comforting support and assistance, would be appreciated. Lucy was born on January 26, 1917, in Watertown, daughter of the late Henry and Magdalen (Koester) Indra. She married Wilton Trachte on September 22, 1942 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. Lucy attended Watertown High School and was employed by Dairy Distributers Inc. Co-operative prior to marrying Wilton. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She was especially talented at baking, sewing, and intricate upholstering. Outside the home, she was involved in compiling valuable information on family genealogy. In her later years, on occasion she would also display her musical skill playing the harmonica. She was a long time devoted member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by five children, Kenneth (Kathryn) Trachte; Donna (David) Welbourne, all of Rancho Viejo, TX; Pat (Richard) Braun of Waukesha; Pam Trachte of Madison and David Trachte of Watertown; five grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Renfroe of League City, TX; Brian (Kelly) Trachte of Houston, TX; Jennifer (Jesse) Welbourne De Leon of Mission, TX; Karen (Travis) Kimmel of Lake Holiday, VA and Michael (Julie) Braun of Jacksonville, FL; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Renfroe, Caroline Trachte, Samuel Trachte and Nicolas De Leon; brother, Paul (Glorice) Indra and sister-in-law, Juanita (Francis) Indra, both of Watertown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton, in 2006; two brothers, Hugo and Francis as well as two sisters, Loretta Richter and Virginia Ganser.
The family expresses their thanks to River View Assisted Living for their wonderful support and loving care given to Lucy during her years of residency.
