A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 10th at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke officiating.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the church.
Gertrude Aurelia was born on August 5, 1922 in the Town of Clyman, daughter of Henry and Maria (Hilker) Vick. On April 26, 1942, she married Harley Stueber at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown. She worked at Royal Meats and assisted her husband on the farm.
Gertrude was a member of St. John's Lutheran church. She loved to garden, read, and spend time with her family. Over her lifetime, she raised thousands of geese.
Gertrude is survived by her two sons, Richard (Ruth) Stueber of Mountain; Gilbert (Shelly) Stueber of Grabil, IN; two daughters, Diane (Roy) Lovaas of Isle, MN; Sharon (Alan) Schultz of the town of Shields; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Saniter of Watertown; two sisters-in-law, Angie Vick of Watertown; Janet Vick of Washington; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Harley, on January 6, 2000; a daughter, Janice May Schultz; three sons, John Harley Stueber, Mark Ronald Stueber, Roger Allan Stueber; two grandsons, a granddaughter; two brothers, Donald Henry Stueber and Ralph Rodney Stueber.
