Genevieve P. Stadler, age 84, of Watertown, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, a Marquardt Health Center in Watertown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 17th at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown, with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A visitation will also be at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Genevieve Pearl Schlesner was born in Watertown on December 25, 1928, daughter of Ewald F. and Rosa (Holzwarth) Schlesner. She was a graduate of Johnson Creek High School and on May 19, 1951, she married Edwin J. Stadler at St. Henry Catholic Church. Edwin preceded her in death on October 31, 2012.
Genevieve had been employed as a payroll clerk at Mid-State Shoe Factory in Watertown. She also had been employed at the former Hartwig Poultry Farm and was a clerk at the former Gobbler Motel, both in Johnson Creek.
Genevieve lived for her family and loved spending time with them.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, a member of T.O.P.S. and the Saturday Club. She volunteered at the Watertown Senior Center and enjoyed baking, reading, playing cards and crocheting.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert and Andrew Stadler, both of Watertown, and her daughter, Rosemary (Randy) Bohmsack, also of Watertown; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, as well as other relatives and friends.
Genevieve was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Evelyn Paap and Goldie Buss, and a brother, Merlin, in infancy.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Marquardt Health Center for the kind and compassionate care they provided for their mother.
