Priscilla M. Olson, age 83, Clyman, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman with Rev. Michael Schempf officiating. Burial will take place in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Clyman. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the Hafemeister Funeral Home from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Priscilla Marie Stricker was born on November 13, 1933 in the Town of Milford, the daughter of Alfred and Isabella Ida Marie (nee Kraus) Stricker. She was a graduate of Juneau High School. Her first job was at Northwestern College where she was employed as a cook. On May 11, 1957, she married Theodore “Teddy” O. Olson Jr. at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman. Teddy preceded her in death on October 1, 2013. Together they purchased the one room school house that Teddy had attended as a child. They made it their home and Priscilla resided there for 60 years. Priscilla loved to sit outside and enjoy the weather, seeing and visiting with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed baking wedding cakes and making wool floor rugs.
She is survived by her children, Susan Helms of Richmond, MI; Sara Schwartz of Watertown; Ted Olson III and Todd Olson, both of Clyman; grandchildren, Rebecca (Mike Crooker Jr.) Helms; Mark Helms; Andrew (Christie Jeske and Nicholas) Olson; David Schwartz and Kayla (Zach Roever) Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Crooker, Karmyra Crooker and William Rover; brother, David (Wendy) Stricker of Red Wing, MN; brother-in-law, James Laux of Franklin; mother of Andrew, Marlene Olson of Watertown; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Melissa Bade and sister, Joyce Laux.
