James Ralph Klug was born on June 20, 1960 in Watertown to Ralph and Donna (nee Steinke) Klug. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown. At the age of 16, he quit school and went to work. He was known as a hard worker. He later obtained his GED and attended Madison Area Technical College where he often made the honor roll.
Jim loved the west and made many trips there to hike and camp in the mountains. When he became physically unable to hike, he still took several train trips there to simply enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Jim also was ever ready to open himself to the needs of others and help all that he knew or was acquainted with. He enjoyed making people laugh. He had been employed at U.S. Chemical in Watertown.
Jim is survived by brothers, Thomas Klug of Watertown; Russell Klug of Watertown as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Donna and step-father, John Koser.
Per Jim’s wishes, no services will be held. He only wanted his friends to gather and have a good time in memory of him. A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date.
Surely he will be missed by many.
