George E. Folz, 75, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, June 2, 2012, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Madison.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Ron Kral of the Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown officiating. Burial, with Military Graveside Rites, will be at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

George Edward Folz was born on December 21, 1936 in Watertown, the son of John and Lela (Ball) Folz. He attended school in Watertown. He served his country in the United States Air Force. On September 18, 1960 he married the former Ella A. Beakley in Whiting, IL. The couple made their home in Calumet City, IL. In 1965 they moved to Watertown. George had been employed at Youngstown Steel and at Carnation Co. in Oconomowoc. George and Ella retired to Grand Marsh, WI in 1990. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, and trips to the casino. He loved taking trips with friends and spending time with family and friends.
George is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Rich) Schulenberg of Madison and Lerlene (Mike Gross) of Watertown; a son, Darrell (Karen) Folz of Watertown; four grandchildren, Michael (Ashley Waters) Folz, David (Adrianne Duwe) Folz, Brian Folz and Scott Kolbow Jr., three great-grandchildren, David Morris, Jayden Waters-Folz and Kahlen Waters-Folz; a brother, Milford (Lila) Folz of FL. and a sister, Arlene Schlesner of Watertown; two sisters-in-law, Judy Foltz and Barbara Folz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ella on January 20, 2008; a sister Thelma “Timmie” Grimm and four brothers, Darrell Folz, Francis Folz, Jess Foltz and Richard Yanke.
