Lillian E. Pieper, age 96, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 3 p.m. at St. Peterís Lutheran Church in Lebanon with Rev. Douglas Bergelin officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects on Wednesday from noon until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to St. Peterís Lutheran Church, Trishaís Fight or the charity of oneís choice. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Lillian Elsa Leona Christian was born on August 18, 1919 at her home in Lebanon, the daughter of Leonard and Edna (nee Kronitz) Christian. Lillian was baptized on August 29, 1919 and confirmed on November 6, 1932 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon. On August 24, 1940, she married Wallace C. Pieper at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2012. Lillian was a member of St. Peterís Lutheran Church in Lebanon. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting. Lillian loved to bake and made the best cookies. Lillian cherished her time taking care of her grandchildren and she loved all of her great-grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by her three, children; Robert (Judy) Pieper of Lebanon; James (Janet) Pieper of Lebanon; Debra (Cliff) Falkenthal of Hustisford; a daughter-in-law, Shirley (Larry Uttech) Pieper of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, Scott (Melissa) Pieper, Kristine Navine, Tammi (Reed) Finley, Trisha Pieper, Torri (Tim Stockton) Riedl, Jennifer (Ray) Leggett, Jaclyn Pieper, Heidi (Jacob) Anderson, Jodi (Brad) Doro; eleven great-grandchildren, Jacob Pieper, Justin (Jill Brebeck) Navine, Kassandra Navine, Alicia Navine, Brienna Braunschweig, Jordan Jeanson, Blake Riedl, Kendall Anderson, Jack Anderson, Callahan Leggett, Kennedy Doro; one great-great-grandson, Aiden Jasper; sisters, Mabel (Wilbert) Pieper, Caroline Lillge, Elaine (Alex) Gamez, Arlene Hagen, Donna (Dave) Stangler; sisters-in-law, Marion Christian, Rose Christian, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gene Pieper, a great-grandson Zachariah Pieper; brothers, Oscar, Franklin, Marvin, Carl; and sister, LaVerna Frederich.
