Glenn W. Steffen, 80, of Watertown, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Anthony Schultz officiating. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Family and friends may gather at Hafemeister Funeral Home on Friday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown or Rainbow Hospice in Jefferson. Glenn William Steffen was born on September 24, 1937 in Wauwatosa, the son of Gilbert P. and Marion (nee Trapp) Steffen. He was a 1955 graduate of Oconomowoc High School. Glenn served in the United States Army from 1958-1961. On September 1, 1968 he was united in marriage to Jo Anne Frentzel at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Jo Anne preceded him in death on April 30, 1997. Glenn had been employed as an officer for the Wisconsin State Patrol from 1968 until 1996. He then worked for J&L Tire in Watertown from 1996 until 2016. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and AMVETS Post #35. Glenn enjoyed Indian arrowhead searching and tending to his garden. He loved riding his Harley and photography including video and still life.
Glenn is survived by two sons, Brian (Tracey) Steffen and Bradley (Carrie) Steffen; grandchildren, Michael Zuehlke, Gregory Zuehlke, Alexander Zuehlke, Christopher Steffen, Corey Steffen, Chynarose Degner and Savannah Steffen; son-in-law, Eric Zuehlke as well as other relatives and friends. He was further preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shawn Zuehlke; brothers, Donald, Gilbert and William Steffen as well as sisters, Janet and Carol Steffen.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Pastor Schultz at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, Rainbow Hospice as well as June and Dr. Grajewski and the entire Doctor’s Court Clinic staff.
