Charles G. Naatz, 76, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington with Rev. Richard Pagels officiating. Burial with military honors conducted by American Legion Post # 305 will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. Visitation will be at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials if desired may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Foundation Fighting Blindness or the American Legion Post # 305 in Johnson Creek. Charles Gerald Naatz was born on April 22, 1938, the son of Edwin and Ilda (Schuett) in the Town of Farmington. On May 27, 1961 he married Marlene Hesse at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2009.
Charles proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for Schweigers Furniture in Jefferson for over 30 years and later retired from Watertown Table Slide. Charles was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington, and a member of American Legion Post #305 in Johnson Creek. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching the Brewers and Green Bay Packers.
Marlene and Charles’ marriage was blessed with four daughters; Lori (Rev. James) Seiltz of Colorado Springs, CO; Lisa Naatz of Watertown; Jodi (Alan) Stout of Waterloo and Jill (Bill) Oswald of Watertown. They were also blessed with eleven grandchildren; Jessica, Jacob, Amanda, Faith, Joy and Caleb Seiltz, Tiffanni and Bryanna Stout and Billy, Gabriella and Elizabeth Oswald; a brother Allen Naatz of Concord, other relatives and friends.
His parents further preceded him in death.
